Jacob's Rite of Passage

Jacob lost two teeth tonight. Jacob's teeth got a little too wiggly for his own comfort, so he called upon Dad's expertise. The tooth fairy came tonight too. Jacob stayed up late writing a long note to the fairy in hopes that should would let him keep his teeth. Turns out a nice fairy comes to our house.

Fall is amazing in New York!! If it weren't for the winter snow, I might even consider staying here.

The Boys Bedroom

Jacob and Jeffery share a bedroom. Well...truthfully Jeffery sleeps in a pack and play in our room until he falls asleep. Then we move him to Jacob's room. Oh...I don't know how other people get their siblings to really share a room. We have always been unsuccessful!

Anyway, Jacob can get Jeffery out of his crib now. I found them both in Jeff's bed snuggling this morning.

I bet you can't guess why I make Jacob come his hair in the morning before he comes downstairs!

Pumpkin Party Evening at School

This year we carved pumpkins at Jacob and Grace's school. They both went on class field trips to pick their pumpkins. We had a great time. I loved the fact that we didn't have to clean up the mess!!

Family Resemblance

Ruth Ann found some old family pictures when she was in Utah and we were amazed at how much resemblance there is between Jeffery and Great Grandpa Walker. These are pictures of Great Grandpa Lionell Walker and Jeffery Lionell Walker when they were both about the same age. They both have chubby cheeks and big dimples!

This is what happens after kids have been inside too much during a long
winter. They will escape at any opportunity!

Jacob's School Dental Presentation

Ryan visited Jacob's Kindergarten class and taught them about oral hygiene. The kids had a lot of fun and Jacob thought it was great to have his dad come to school.

Ruth Ann and the Kids Visit Utah

Disney World 2009

We had a great time in Disney World with Grandpa Walker and Granny Kate. The
kids loved being with their grandparents. Some highlights: Jacob rode most
of the scary rides in the Magic Kingdom including Space Mountain, Thunder
Mountain, and Splash Mountain. Grace wasn't as thrilled about some of the
darker rides, but she loved meeting the characters and getting pictures and
signatures. She is at a magical age where the line between fiction and
reality is never completely clear. In the end, the kids favorite ride was
the Tomorrowland Speedway and the Magic Carpet ride. We also had a lot of
fun visiting the Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and the Kennedy Space
Center.
