We're training Jacob for the circus

Jacob has always loved unicycles. He loves to spot unicycles on the bike trail by our house. Today we found an abandoned unicycle at Gas Works Park while flying our kite. He loves to draw pictures of himself on a unicycle too. Perhaps he'll be in the circus one day.

Wild Flowers

One of the things that I love about Grace is that she is so inquisitive. She constantly asks “what’s that.” And she doesn’t stop talking until she gets a response. Grace loves flowers. Jacob knows that Grace loves flowers, so he frequently picks up a dandelion for Grace. If I’m lucky, I get a dandelion too.

Run little duck, run...

Mommy, why is the duck running away? We just want to give him a snack.

Excuses for being late

I don’t want for very many things right now in my life. We’re all really happy and have pretty simple wishes, except one—a GARAGE. The idea of not parking “20 minutes” away from our house is the most appealing thing in the world to me. The ironic thing is that our car isn’t that far away, but you can’t believe the distractions that we find every time we go somewhere. For example, I never knew how fascinating rain drains were until I had kids. The only way that I can get anywhere on time is if I carry both Jacob and Grace to the car, which is getting challenging now that I have another one to tote.

This is a picture of Grace walking to our car in the parking lot. And yes, I am the one that has to carry all of their toys back into the house when they are too tired to do so upon our return. Ryan assures me that if we ever end up with a garage I will appreciate the joy of it so much more.
